Arsenal legend Thierry Henry provided Folarin Balogun with some piece of advice following his one-time switch to USAas he snubbed Nigeria and England.

The 21-year old striker had the opportunity to represent the Super Eagles at international level since his parents are Nigerians.

He could have also worn the Three Lions shirt as he grew up in England and played for the Youth teams until the U-21 side.

However, the Brookly-native decided to choose USMNT for his international career following his breakthrough at Reims in French Ligue 1.

Speaking on the player’s allegiance switch, Thierry Henry said the next step for him is now to leave Arsenal.

Balogun still has two year left in his contract with the Gunners.

And the club’s legend doesn’t believe he’ll get his chance under Mikel Arteta.

“I don’t know if he’s going to play for Arsenal,” Henry said on CNS Sports.

“He’s been great in the league. Now he’s going to have to find a team where he’s going to play next year, that’s very important.”
