Rwanda Peace Cup: APR will give what it takes against Rayon Sports – Moussa

APR coach Ben Moussa has reiterated his desire to lift a double this season when they take on rivals Rayon Sports in the Peace Cup final on June 3.

The thirteen-time domestic cup winners stormed to the final of this year’s edition after edging out SC Kiyovu Sports 2-1 in the semi-finals return leg to eliminate the Mumena-based side with a 3-2 result on aggregate.

Having won the league title on goal difference, Moussa is now determined to wrap up the season with a second trophy on Saturday.

“We are determined to win the title. We will give that final all it takes – we will give ourselves and passion to our supporters so that we can win the second trophy for our team,” Moussa said as quoted by Times Sport.

“We had a great season so far after winning the league title but we still have the fight ahead of us. It was a tough season but it was a wonderful experience for everyone.

“We got to the final of the Peace Cup and this is a golden opportunity for us to win it again. We are playing against a difficult side. Rayon Sports are one of the best teams we have in the Rwandan league and you know what that means.”

Rayon reached the final after eliminating Mukura Victory Sport on a 4-3 aggregate result in the last four. The winner of the Peace Cup gets a ticket to represent Rwanda in the Caf Confederation Cup for next season.
