Transfer window Arsenal should ‘break the bank’ for Osimhen services – Morgan

Piers Morgan has told Arsenal to ‘break the bank’ to sign €150m Napoli striker sensation Victor Osimhen

The Gunners have already spent big during this summer window – agreeing a £105m fee to grab midfielder Declan Rice from London rivals West Ham United and spending £65m to take striker Kai Havertz from Chelsea. However, the England broadcaster believes for the Gunners to win ‘big trophies’ next season, they should go for the services of the Nigerian forward.

According to Morgan, Osimhen, who currently turns out for Napoli in Serie A, can score 25 plus goals in a season and can be a good addition to the Mikel Arteta-led side.

“It’s brilliant that Arsenal seem to have won the race to sign Declan Rice who will be a monstrously good addition to the team,” Morgan wrote on his Twitter handle, adding: “But if we want to win big trophies, we also need a world-class striker who will score 25+ goals a season. I’d break the bank for Osimhen.”

Osimhen was brilliant in the just-concluded season, firing 26 goals in just 32 Serie A matches to fire the Partenopei to their first Scudetto since the days of Diego Maradona back in 1990. Arsenal are reportedly in the race to sign Ajax defender Jurrien Timber for a fee of between £45m and £50m.
