In the initial exchanges, the two teams balanced each other out by playing the majority of the ball in the middle of the field as they fought for dominance of the midfield.
In a tightly contested first half, Namibia and their neighbours struggled to generate clear-cut chances.
Prior to the start of the second half, Namibia’s coach Collin Benjamin made a move by bringing in the attack-oriented Revered Matroos.
The game concluded in a 0-0 draw as the two sides split the spoils. In the second half, both teams launched assaults, but they failed to capitalise on their opportunities in front of goal.
