FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP FIFAWWC: Philippines Stun New Zealand To Throw Group A Open

Co-hosts of the FIFA Women’s World Cup New Zealand were shocked by debutants Philippines, who won their first-ever game in Wellington by 1-0.

The Football Ferns, fresh off their first-ever World Cup victory against former champions Norway and seeking to secure a berth in the round of 16, looked to be in for an easy task against the Philippines after they were defeated 2-0 by Switzerland in their initial game.
