La Liga side Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Nigerian-born striker Samu Omorodion who joined them on a five-year deal from Granada.

The 2-year old is making a big step in his career with this move to the Colchoneros.

“Samu Omorodion is already a new player for our club, with whom he signed a five-season contract after passing the relevant medical examination by the sports medicine unit Vithas Invictum”, he wrote in a statement.

Reacting to his signing, Samu Omorodion thanked Atletico for the chance given to him and expressed his eager to start the new journey.

“I am privileged, in the end, like every player, I always want to grow and aspire to new things and I am very, very happy to sign for Atlético de Madrid”, he told the club media department.

“I thank the club for the trust. I’m really looking forward to starting this adventure and achieving many goals together.

“I consider myself a hard-working player, I always like to help the team, quickly and I also define myself as a footballer who has a goal. Short term I hope to continue growing as a footballer, learn from the best, from the forwards and from the defenders”,
