Tanzania Done Deal: Singida FG sign Elvis Rupia from Kenya Police

Tanzanian Premier League outfit Singida Fountain Gate have completed the signing of Kenyan striker Elvis Rupia as they aim to reinforce the attacking section.

The 28-year-old Rupia was formerly parading at Kenya Police which competess in the country’s FKF Premier League. He comes a few days before the Singida-based club plays their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round first leg match versus Future FC of Egypt at Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

The return leg encounter is pegged in Egypt where the overall winner will book a ticket to step into the Confederation Cup group stage. Also, the upcoming game will be a debut for the team’s newly acquired coach Ernst Middendorp who succeeded Hans Van Pluijm.

Despite featuring in the Confederation Cup for the first time, Singida Fountain Gate already declared that their target is to reach the last 16 of the CAF CC. To achieve that, they have no other option other than clearing Future FC’s hurdle.
