Ademola Lookman, the winger for the Super Eagles, was voted Man-of-the-Match during the team’s 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16.
In the 36th minute, Lookman, playing at the peak of his abilities, gave Nigeria their first goal after goal scorer Victor Osimhen of Napoli provided the ideal assist.
In the ninetieth minute, the Nigerian international completed the victory with one of the best plays of the match, volleying home Calvin Bassey’s cutback to set off wild celebrations among the three-time champions.

The Super Eagles will play Angola in the round of eight on Friday at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium. Angola impressed in their previous 3-0 victory against Namibia.
Nigeria would believe they have a great chance to win an AFCON title if Lookman continues to play this well throughout the competition.
