Nigerian Players abroad Iwobi On Target As Fulham Loss To Wolves

Fulham’s Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday ended in a 2-1 loss despite a late goal from Alex Iwobi.

This season, Iwobi has scored six goals overall for Fulham, including his fifth goal in the league.

After three games for the London-based team, he has now scored two goals.

For the full ninety minutes, Calvin Bassey was also on the pitch for Fulham.

After a cutback from a free kick, Algerian international Ait-Nouri scored the opening goal for the hosts in the 52nd minute by scooping the ball into the roof of the net.

Fifteen minutes later, Semedo, a Portuguese teammate, scored the winning goal with a shot from just beyond the area that struck Tom Cairney of Fulham on its way in, creating an own goal.

Even after Iwobi’s goal in the 98th minute, Wolves managed to hold on and win all three points.

Fulham is ranked 12th with 35 points in the league standings after 28 games
