African players abroad Globe Soccer Awards snob Salah, nominate Sadio Mane for 2020 POY

Senegal and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is the only African player to be nominated for the 2020 Player Of the Year (POY) while his club teammate Mohamed Salah is out of the list.

Each year, the Globe Soccer Awards occur in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to reward those who performed the best in the football domain all over the year.

And this year, African country is represented by Mane. The teranga lion was a great part of Liverpool’s stand out Premier League title to end a 30-year trophy drought as he scored 18 goals in 35 appearances with the Reds.

Across all competitions, the 28-year-old netted 22 goals and provided 12 assists in 47 games with the Anfield outfit.

The ceremony takes place on December 27.
