Zamalek have finally released Mostafa Mohamed to Join Galatasaray SK on loan with an option to buy. Turkish giants Galatasaray have managed to land Mostafa Mohamed on a one-and-a-half-year loan deal for a fee of $2M.

They have the option to make the deal permanent for an extra $4M until 31st December 2021. However, it’s subject to Zamalek’s approval.

According to the Whites, they have the right to reject the deal and to sell the player to the highest bid received in that time. And footballing director Ashraf Kasem has revealed that Mohamed has put pen-to-paper on a new deal, before travelling to Turkey.

Mostafa Mohamed deal is done. He is now a Galatasaray player on one-and-a-half-year loan, with an option to buy.” Kasem said.

I wish him the best of luck in his future. The most important thing is that we helped him achieve his dream.”

But the Whites announced to have extended the contract with the winger before this loan move. “Mostafa Mohamed has extended his Zamalek contract before leaving.

“We will try to sign a replacement for him in the upcoming two days. And it could be from outside Egypt.” He added.

It’s understood that Mostafa had rejected a move to Turkey as his preferred destination was Saint-Étienne. However, he agreed to join Galatasaray on their second attempt after the French side became out of the picture. Mostafa will become the first-ever Egyptian to play for the Yellow-Reds and the only second Pharaoh currently in the Turkish Super Lig alongside Karim Hafez of Yeni Malatyaspor.

Legendary Turkish manager Fatih Terim is coaching the club. And they have some impressive names in their ranks.

Marcão, Omar Elabdellaoui, Sofiane Feghouli, Younès Belhanda, Falcao, Fernando Muslera, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ryan Babel, Ryan Donk, and Arda Turn are some of the names there. And they have acquired two other signings this winter aside from Mohamed in Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru and Halil Dervisoglu from English club Brentford.

They currently sit third in the Turkish Super Lig with 39 points. Five behind leaders Beşiktaş, and only three behind Fenerbahçe, who are second.

It’s worth noting that Mohamed could come in as a replacement for Senegal’s Mbaye Diagne. He who is reportedly set to complete a move to West Brom on loan.

Diagne had bagged nine goals in 15 appearances for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig this season.
