Africa Soccer CECAFA CUP : Bullets, KMKM, Express complete semi-final line-up

Three teams have joined Azam in qualifying for the 2021 Cecafa Kagame Cup seminals following decisive group matches played on Saturday.

Nyasa Big Bullets from Malawi, KMKM from Zanzibar and Uganda’s Express have joined Azam (Tanzania) in the last-four phase following decisive group matches.

Bullets defeated Atlabara from South Sudan 2-0 courtesy of goals from Hassan Kajoke and defender Nixon Nyasulu.

The Malawians have reached the last-four for only the second time in the competition’s history.

Bullets have qualified for the semifinal as the second best team from Group A behind leaders Express who defeated Tanzania’s Yanga 3-1 on Saturday.

Bullets made it with five points from three games, two points behind the leaders Express whereas Yanga on two points and Atlabara have missed the ticked having finished the group on two points and one point.

Bullets will now face Azam FC at the semi final stage.

In Group B games, KMKM stunned already qualified Azam FC 3-2 at the Azam Complex, Chamazi.

In another game for the group, defending champions KCCA FC lost 1-0 to Burundi’s Le Messager Ngozi FC

KMKM qualified as the second best team in Group B and face Express in the semifinals.
