Premier League Guardiola Wins Manager Of The Year By League Managers Association

After leading Manchester City to the Premier League championship, Pep Guardiola was named Manager of the Year by the League Managers Association (LMA) and the Premier League on Tuesday.

The team will play Manchester United in the FA Cup final on Saturday and Inter Milan in the Champions League final a week from now after Guardiola led City to their fifth league title in as many seasons.

“I am at an incredible football club and without all of the support that I have had throughout my time here, this would not have been possible,” Guardiola said in a club statement.

Guardiola defeated Mikel Arteta of Arsenal, Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton & Hove Albion, Eddie Howe of Newcastle United, Vincent Kompany of Burnley, and Steven Schumacher of Plymouth Argyle to win the LMA award.
