AFCON AFCON U23 QUALIFIER: Nigeria Beats Tanzania 2-0 In Ibadan

Nigeria defeated Tanzania 2-0 in the second leg on Saturday to advance to the final round of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

In the rematch, which took place within the Lekan Salami stadium, Nigeria won 3-1 overall.

Remember how Tanzania was held to a 1-1 draw in the first leg last Saturday in Dar es Salaam by the Salisu Yusuf-led team.

Nigeria finally scored after a scoreless first half, thanks to goals from Ogunniyi Omojesu and Success Makanjuola.

Omojesu scored the game’s first goal in the 61st minute on a well-executed free kick that got past the Tanzanian defense.
