Botswana will be led by Thatyaone Ditlhokwe, a leaving defender from SuperSport United, as they take on Libya in Francistown on Saturday in an effort to win their first match of this Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign.

Ditlhokwe, who will join Kaizer Chiefs in the upcoming campaign, is one of three players with a foreign basis in the 25-man roster selected by head coach Mogomotsi Mpote for the Francistown group encounter.

The other two are Moroccan-based Kabelo Seakanyeng, who previously played for Chippa United in the DStv Premiership, and Algerian Gape Mohutiswa.

Tumisang Orebonye, the winner of the African Confederation Cup, suffered an injury during a weekend league game in Algeria but was not named. He assisted USM Alger in beating Tanzania’s Young Africans in the Confederation Cup last month.

The league’s runners-up, Gaborone United, have seven players in their lineup compared to league champions Jwaneng Galaxy’s two.
